The Culture constitutes indicator of prosperity of a society and it is obvious obligation of the State and the Local - Government, to create conditions of growth of the cultural activity. In the frame of this necessity, we decided to constitute the Prefectural Cultural State Company Development of Achaia (N.E.P.A.), with objective the creation of a powerful mechanism for claiming resources and promoting the cultural activity.

The Prefecture of Achaia, having conscience of the fact that the culture constitutes basic component of the social and economic growth of our Prefecture, decided the foundation of Prefectural Cultural State Company Development Prefecture of Achaia (N.E.P.A.).

The foundation of N.E.P.A. covers an important void in the cultural things of Achaia, that of the absence of an organized and with sufficient staff institution with possibility of undertaking initiatives and promotion of actions in the total of Prefecture.

From this point of view N.E.P.A. creates new terms in the production, the management and the suitable projection of cultural goods, shaping a new frame of collaboration with all Local Authorities of Prefecture, with the educational institutions, with the unions of auteur and the legal persons that are activated in the space of culture.

The first steps of N.E.P.A. are taken already with the undertaking and management of programs that concerns culture. In this way is created the first basic condition of economic viability of the institution.

In the next interval N.E.P.A. aspires to organize new institutional expressions in the sector of culture (festival, events, exhibitions etc.) that they will incorporate basic elements of history and cultural heritage of Achaia, aiming at the mobilization of all creative forces and elevation of Achaia as cultural entity in Pan-Hellenic and European level.

To this direction N.E.P.A. aspires to develop the collaboration and along with corresponding institutions of countries in European Union, Balkans and the wider Mediterranean area, Achaia becomes center of new and important cultural action.

Of course critical parameter to this direction remains the building and the exploitation of existing infrastructures and N.E.P.A. will be activated for this matter by undertaking action and depositing proposals.

Main objective for N.E.P.A. is to give a new dynamic to the initiatives that will be harmonized with the productive model and will be inspired by the elements of tradition and creative renewal of its forms.

For the success of its aims, N.E.P.A. will address invitation of collaboration in each institution that is activated in culture. Particularly addresses to the institutions and cultural forms of Local Authority as well as in the educational and intellectual institutions and the collective expressions of cultural movement in our Prefecture.

N.E.P.A. is also open for the collaboration with all unprofessional forms of cultural expression and with each creative and active citizen of Achaia that enriches with his action and attendance our local culture. On this base the collaboration with all the auteur of cultural goods acquires for the N.E.P.A. a great importance.
